Youth Empowerment Lead – Inspiration Through Meaningful Engagement

We are looking for a passionate and driven Youth Empowerment Lead to design and lead impactful programmes that support the growth and development of young individuals at Masjid Darul Makmur. This role involves working closely with youth leaders, volunteers, and community partners to inspire, guide, and empower the next generation through meaningful engagement and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Passionate Advocate – Minimum 5 years of experience working with youth, and having a deep passion for youth. Possessing a Diploma or Degree in any field. (A Diploma or Degree in Islamic Education and being ARS recognised is an advantage).
• Lead Role Model – Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Possessing the ability to guide, motivate and manage youth teams and initiatives effectively.
• Strong Communication Skills – Excellent communication skills. Able to connect with our youth in the community and partners.
• Organisational Skills – Highly independent with strong organisational skills.
• Relationship Builder – Able to foster strong ties with youth, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders to support youth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging programmes and activities that promote the personal and social development of youths.
• Collaborate with mosque teams and external partners to host workshops and events focusing on relevant topics for youth development.
• Guide and empower youths to build confidence, leadership, and life skills
• Build strong ties with community leaders and organisations to support initiatives for the youths.
• Understand and respond to the needs and challenges faced by youths within the community.
• Recruit, train, and engage youth volunteers to support mosque activities.
• Stay informed about current social media trends, issues, and resources relevant to youth development to be incorporated into plans for our youths.
• Track and improve the impact of youth initiatives.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all youth participants.
