Exciting Opportunity: Youth Mentor at Masjid Darul Makmur!
Position Summary:
As a Youth Mentor at Masjid Darul Makmur, you will play a vital role in guiding and inspiring the
young members of our community. Your primary responsibility is to support their personal, spiritual,
and social development through engaging programs and one-on-one interactions. You will work
closely with youth, their families, and the broader community to create a nurturing environment
that fosters growth, leadership, and a strong sense of identity.
Requirements:
- Experience and Knowledge: Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record. ARS certified is an advantage. - Passion for Youth Development: A genuine commitment to helping young people thrive and
making a difference in their lives. - Strong Communication Skills: Ability to connect with youth and families, and convey ideas
effectively and empathetically. - Organisational Skills: Efficiently manage and execute programs and activities with a keen eye for
detail. - Empathy and Patience: A supportive and understanding approach to mentoring, with the ability
to inspire trust and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire and Empower: Lead dynamic youth programs that blend Islamic teachings with fun,
engaging activities designed to support personal and spiritual growth. - Guide and Support: Build meaningful relationships with our young community members, offering
guidance on their personal, academic, and social journeys. - Create Impactful Experiences: Organise workshops, events, and discussions that promote
leadership, teamwork, and community involvement. - Collaborate and Connect: Work closely with families, educators, and community leaders to
enhance the development of our youth. - Foster a Positive Environment: Ensure a welcoming and inclusive space where every young
person feels valued and heard.
