We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Assistant Executive (Building Maintenance) to support the smooth and safe operation of Masjid Darul Makmur’s facilities. This role involves maintaining building systems and equipment, coordinating with vendors, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional and welcoming for our congregants and community.
Requirements & Competencies:
- Diploma or Professional Certificate in Facilities Management or a related field.
- At least 5 years of building maintenance or facilities management experience.
- Knowledge of building systems, AV equipment and IT support.
- Good problem solving and vendor coordination skills.
- Familiar with workplace safety and maintenance standards.
- Willing to support after hours or weekend maintenance when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily operation, inspection and preventive maintenance of the mosque’s building,
facilities and equipment. - Perform and coordinate basic maintenance and minor repairs and liaise with contractors/vendors for
major repairs and servicing. - Manage the setup, operation and basic troubleshooting of Audio Visual (AV) systems, including
microphones, projectors, PA systems and other equipment. - Provide basic IT and technical support and coordinate with external vendors for more complex
technical issues. - Support mosque programmes and events, including venue setup, tables, chairs, staging, barriers
and other logistical requirements. - Conduct regular safety and facilities checks, report defects or hazards promptly, and maintain proper
maintenance and inspection records. - Support the monitoring of maintenance supplies, equipment and inventory to ensure operational
readiness. - Provide operational support for all mosque events and programmes as required.
